Individual Employee
The most important way employees can assist the university in meeting its affirmative action obligations is by providing accurate demographic data. The utility of our Affirmative Action Plans depends upon applicants’ and employees’ self-identification as members of protected classes. Without accurate demographic data, it is difficult for us to correctly identify areas of underrepresentation within our workforce.
Each employee can update their race, veteran status, and disability status information within their UCDAccess Portal.
- To update this information, click on “My Info” and “Employee Profile” from the UCDAccess home page.
- Race information can be updated by clicking on “Ethnic Groups” and editing any incorrect information.
- Veteran status and disability status information can likewise be updated by clicking on “Veteran Status” and “Disability,” respectively.
- Employees can verify that the demographic information on file regarding their sex is accurate by clicking on “Additional Information.”
- If an employee’s demographic information regarding sex is missing or incorrect, they can contact
Human Resources.
Individual employees can also participate in the Affirmative Action Plan by distributing open job postings to their own academic, professional, and personal networks to expand the reach of the university’s recruitment efforts.
